Louisville Hardcore Icons Endpoint & Equal Vision Reissue The Band’s 1993 Album, «After Taste»; «After Taste» (Deluxe Edition) Out Feb. 2
Legendary independent New York-based rock label Equal Vision Records and Endpoint are excited to announce the Friday, February 27 release of After Taste (Deluxe Edition), a fully remixed and remastered, 18-track expanded version of the influential Louisville, KY hardcore band’s 1993 album. When it was first released, After Taste was widely considered a “departure” for Endpoint. It’s slower, they said. It’s more melodic and less political. Back then, descriptions like these were deployed to signal to others when a band was supposedly moving away from hardcore — a genre that, up until the turn of the decade, was best known for being fast and discordant and socially outraged. In retrospect, nothing about this judgment holds up.
“Writing ‘After Taste’ was a time of transition for Endpoint — we were evolving as musicians and our music tastes were changing. The record is a testament to that change,” guitarist Duncan Barlow recalls. “The songs are a combination of heavy hardcore riffs and occasional pop sensibilities. We were trying to grow without losing our core values and our hardcore style, and as we grew together, we also found ourselves in a new dark period where we were watching our friends abuse drugs and alcohol, helping one another through heartbreaks, and struggling with the larger questions of identity and well-being.”
Endpoint had always operated ahead of hardcore’s exploration curve. Which is to say that After Taste was, in fact, a confirmation of their ongoing commitment to evolution and all of the messy complexities that arise from it. It’s an album with range and dimensionality and even fearlessness. Much like their live shows at that time, sensuality and chaos dance with each other in unpredictable ways. And much like vocalist Rob Pennington’s live monologues from the era, its songs are neither afraid to be too vulnerable nor too vehement. Watch the music video and stream the new remixed/remastered version of “Force Fed” from After Taste (Deluxe Edition) on YouTube HERE. Pre-order the album HERE.
In the early 1980s, hardcore punk swept across the globe like a wildfire of youthful energy and angst. In the States, the pyres burned brightest in the highest population enclaves, particularly the major coastal cities. Miraculously, through tattered pages of fanzines, tales shared by friends, and crackling records and mixtapes, hardcore expanded beyond its metropolitan birthing grounds and into the corners of unassuming towns like Louisville, KY.
Louisville was disconnected from the pulse of culture when, in 1987, a handful of high school skaters and miscreants formed a band called Deathwatch. Deathwatch quickly morphed into Endpoint and, over the next six years, became the flagship Louisville hardcore band of the era. They are quite possibly the essential Louisville Hardcore band. While there were handfuls of hardcore bands in Louisville before Endpoint and many in the decades that followed, during their short existence, they defined a sound, perspective, and tangible sense of community that spread across the Midwest, throughout the continent, and across the oceans.
Because being from Louisville meant that Endpoint were blissfully free from the kinds of self-imposed restrictions that bound other artists — bands who lived in cities with more entrenched styles of hardcore, like New York or Cleveland or even Washington D.C. — and they repeatedly and consistently used that license to grow with liberal helpings of curiosity and courage and adaptation. Let’s not forget that this is the same band who, only one album prior, explicitly instructed us in this regard: “Don’t be scared of growing old,” Endpoint vocalist Rob Pennington advised us. “Just grow towards the sky.”
Listen harder. After Taste was never a departure. It was a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Andrea Bocelli Performs ‘Nessun Dorma’ at the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Winter Games 2026
Last night, Maestro Andrea Bocelli, one of the most celebrated voices in music, delivered a breathtaking performance of his iconic “Nessun Dorma” at the Olympic Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026. The performance was a standout moment during the star-studded ceremony, as Bocelli took the stage just after the President of the Italian Republic officially declared the Olympic Winter Games open.
Surrounded by an orchestra and the Olympic athletes, Bocelli delivered an unforgettable performance of “Nessun Dorma” as the Olympic flame was carried into San Siro Stadium. His performance culminated in the flame’s exit from the stadium, a symbolic moment opening the Games beyond the venue. The performance served as a powerful reminder of how music can be a shared language, echoing the athletes’ journeys and stories.
Bocelli made his Olympic debut at the Closing Ceremony of the Torino 2006 Winter Games, remaining a key figure for the Italian Olympic Games two-decades later. Music emerged as a universal language in this year’s program, celebrating unity through diversity for a truly shared experience, becoming an integral part of the story that unites sport, art, and culture, in the spirit of the Olympic values of dialogue and sharing.
Bocelli’s 2026 Romanza 30th Anniversary World Tour, celebrating his widely-acclaimed 1997 breakthrough album Romanza, officially kicks off tonight in Columbus, OH. The tour, presented by global wealth management and investment banking firm, Stifel, will feature many of his famed songs live, including timeless songs like Con Te Partirò.
Produced by AEG Presents, the 2026 Romanza 30th Anniversary Tour will see Bocelli perform in iconic venues across the world, including his return to Madison Square Garden for two nights in New York City, The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver, CO, Bell Centre in Montreal, QC, TD Garden in Boston, and more. Internationally, the tour will see Bocelli perform in Aguascalientes, Mexico, Venice, Italy, Gdansk and Warsaw, Poland, and Vienna, Austria. For more information and tickets, please visit https://www.andreabocelli.com/tickets.
Romanza became a global phenomenon upon its release in 1997, selling more than 20 million copies worldwide. The record earned Platinum and Diamond certifications in over 20 countries, including Triple Platinum in the United States and Diamond status in Canada. It is both the best-selling Italian-language album and the best-selling predominantly non-English language album of all time. Romanza also topped the charts in 11 countries and reached the top of Billboard’s U.S. World Albums and Top Catalog Albums charts.
Maestro Andrea Bocelli is the most successful classical artist of all time who has sold nearly 90 million records and amassed over 25 billion streams since rising to fame after winning the 1994 Sanremo Music Festival. Renowned for his interpretations of major operatic works under legendary conductors such as Lorin Maazel, Seiji Ozawa, and Zubin Mehta, he has earned six Grammy and six Latin Grammy nominations and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Bocelli has performed for four Presidents of the United States, four Popes, the British Royal Family, and at global events around the world including the Olympic Games and World Expos. He also founded the Andrea Bocelli Foundation to advance education and healthcare worldwide. His 2020 Easter performance at Milan’s Duomo became one of the most-watched classical livestreams in history, offering an uplifting message of love, healing and hope.

SOMBR Releases New Single «Homewrecker» with Official Music Video Today
Following a standout debut performance at the 68th annual GRAMMY® Awards on Sunday, SOMBR shares a brand new single, titled “Homewrecker” (Warner Records), his first release since his critically acclaimed, chart-topping 2025 debut album I Barely Know Her. Written and co-produced by the GRAMMY® nominated multi-hyphenated artist, “Homewrecker” arrives with an official music video starring Quenlin Blackwell and Milo Manheim. Listen HERE and watch HERE.
Directed by Gus Black (Phoebe Bridgers, Laufey), the “Homewrecker” music video brings the song’s relatably messy feelings to life. In the visual, SOMBR and Blackwell, cast in a Western film helmed by a short-tempered director played by Manheim, we see tensions rise and the lines between pretend and real life blurred — leading to a high-noon-style western showdown.
Once again, SOMBR is the sole writer and co-producer of his latest song, underscoring the weight of this talent. In addition to his Best New ArtistGRAMMY® nomination, he’s currently up for two prestigious BRIT Awards: International Artist of the Year, and International Song of the Year for “undressed.” Meanwhile, “back to friends” has claimed the #1 spot at Top 40 Radio.
In November, SOMBR made his Saturday Night Live debut, where he played “12 to 12” and “back to friends.” That appearance landed between sold-out tours across North America — with most venues being upgraded — and Australia/New Zealand. Next week, he embarks on a sold-out UK/EU run before returning stateside for Coachella. See below for all upcoming dates.
I Barely Know Her was written entirely by SOMBR and co-produced by him alongside the legendary Tony Berg (Phoebe Bridgers, The Replacements). A New York City native raised on the Lower East Side, he started making songs in his bedroom while studying classical music at LaGuardia High School.
