Marvel’s “Daredevil: Born Again” Trailer Teases Jessica Jones’ MCU Return
Marvel Studios has unveiled the first footage of Krysten Ritter’s return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, revealing the actress back as Jessica Jones in the newly released trailer for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.
The trailer teases a heightened escalation in the conflict between Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), with Fisk firmly entrenched as New York City’s mayor. While story specifics remain largely opaque, the footage suggests a city under siege as Fisk tightens his grip and Daredevil is forced to operate from the shadows.
Ritter’s Jessica Jones emerges amid the turmoil as an unexpected ally, marking the character’s first on-screen appearance in the MCU since Netflix’s Jessica Jones ended its three-season run in 2019. Her return signals a continued reintegration of Marvel’s former street-level heroes into the studio’s current slate.
Daredevil: Born Again is positioned as Marvel’s most grounded and hard-edged series to date. The eight-episode second season is set to premiere March 24 and centers on Fisk’s aggressive campaign to dismantle Daredevil’s influence, even as Murdock wages a covert war to reclaim Hell’s Kitchen and dismantle the Kingpin’s criminal empire.
The series was created by Dario Scardapane, Chris Ord and Matt Corman. Season 2’s returning cast includes Deborah Ann Woll, Ayelet Zurer, Wilson Bethel and Margarita Levieva, with Matthew Lillard joining the ensemble in the newly introduced role of Mr. Charles.
