Apple TV+ has set a summer 2026 global premiere for the long-awaited fourth season of its Emmy-winning comedy Ted Lasso, unveiling four first-look images to mark the announcement.

The photos confirm Jason Sudeikis’ return as the relentlessly optimistic coach, with the new season charting a major shift for the character. After leaving AFC Richmond at the end of Season 3, Ted is back in the U.K. and facing a new professional challenge: coaching a second-division women’s football team.

Two of the images introduce a new assistant coach, played by Tanya Reynolds, who joins Ted and returning right-hand man Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt). Another image reveals Grant Feely as Ted’s son Henry, following a recasting of the role ahead of the new season. Ted and Henry are seen together at Mae Green’s Crown & Anchor pub in London.

A fourth photo reunites Ted with Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham) in front of the Richmond team jet, hinting at the circumstances that may have drawn him back across the Atlantic. Ted is pictured handing Rebecca a familiar box of his homemade biscuits.

As previously reported, the season begins in Kansas, where Ted returned at the close of Season 3, before transitioning back to London. Henry accompanies his father for at least part of the journey. Production began last July in Kansas City, Sudeikis’ hometown, and is currently underway in London.

Season 4 reunites much of the original ensemble, including Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Hunt and Jeremy Swift, all reprising their roles. New additions to the cast include Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Feely.
