Get ready to welcome Kenan and Kel back together again — and this time, they’re bringing a monster with them.

Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell, the iconic duo behind Kenan & Kel and the Good Burger movies, are officially reuniting for a brand-new project titled Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein. The horror comedy will see the longtime collaborators teaming up once again as both stars and producers, with production set to kick off this summer.

Inspired by the classic Abbott and Costello Meet the Monsters films, the movie puts a spooky spin on the duo’s signature comedy. The story follows two delivery drivers whose night takes a sharp turn into nightmare territory when they arrive at a strange, out-of-place castle. One accidental mistake later, Frankenstein’s monster is awake — and what should’ve been a routine job becomes a full-blown fight for survival.

The script is being written by Jonah Feingold (At Midnight, 31 Candles), while Thompson and Mitchell are producing through Thompson’s Artists for Artists banner alongside Range Media Partners. Producers also include John Ryan Jr., Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, and Carter Swan, with Will Hariton, Azim Spicer, and Monica Weber serving as executive producers. Range Media is handling sales on the project.

Thompson officially announced the film during an appearance on Prime Video’s Good Sports, sharing his excitement about reuniting with his longtime collaborator. “Kel and I have always loved finding new ways to work together,” he said. “This project felt like the perfect mix of nostalgia, comedy, and something completely unexpected. We’re excited to bring a fresh take on a classic monster story and have some fun doing it.”

Mitchell echoed the sentiment, adding, “Coming back together always feels natural, and this lets us tap into everything people love about our dynamic while trying something totally new. It’s funny, it’s scary, and it’s a great ride.”

The reunion feels especially fitting given the duo’s shared history. Thompson and Mitchell first crossed paths on Nickelodeon’s All That before becoming pop culture staples with Kenan & Kel (1996–2000), Good Burger, and most recently Good Burger 2 in 2023. Their chemistry has always been the secret sauce, and pairing it with classic monster-movie chaos feels like a smart way to let it evolve.

Between the nostalgia factor and the horror-comedy twist, Kenan & Kel Meet Frankenstein sounds like a fun, unexpected next chapter — one that leans into what fans love while letting the duo try something a little bit spooky.
