Minnie Driver Stars as Sarah in Fox’s “The Faithful: Women of the Bible”
Fox has unveiled the first teaser for its upcoming biblical limited series The Faithful: Women of the Bible, starring Minnie Driver as Sarah. The three-episode event will premiere Sunday, March 22, airing from 8–10 p.m. ET/PT, and will continue weekly through the Easter and Passover season. Episodes will also be available to stream the following day on Hulu.
According to Fox, The Faithful offers a dramatized retelling of the Book of Genesis, told through the perspectives of the passionate, courageous, and deeply flawed women whose lives and descendants helped shape the future of faith.
The series follows the interwoven stories of five women driven by longing, ambition, and the search for purpose. Sarah (Driver), married to Abraham (Jeffrey Donovan) and desperate for a child, makes a complicated and consequential decision involving her servant Hagar that permanently alters her family’s future—before experiencing an unexpected miracle later in life.
Rebekah (Alexa Davalos), determined to secure her favored son’s destiny, intervenes in the lives of her children, igniting a legacy of rivalry and division. Meanwhile, once-inseparable sisters Leah (Millie Brady) and Rachel (Blu Hunt) become rivals in both love and motherhood, forming a fractured yet foundational family whose descendants will carry lasting historical and spiritual weight.
The ensemble cast also includes Natacha Karam as Hagar, Tom Mison as Isaac, and Tom Payne and Ben Robson as Isaac and Rebekah’s adult sons, Jacob and Esau. Additional cast members include James Purefoy as Laban, Will Stevens as Birham, and Taylor Napier as Acar.
The Faithful: Women of the Bible is produced by Fox Entertainment Studios and distributed globally by Fox Entertainment Global. The series is executive produced by Carol Mendelsohn under her first-look broadcast deal with Fox, alongside Julie Weitz and Rene Echevarria, who also wrote the pilot and serves as showrunner.
