Paramount Unveils Super Bowl Spot for Scream 7, Sets IMAX Fan Screenings
Paramount has unveiled its Super Bowl spot for Scream 7, the latest chapter in the long-running horror franchise, which is set to open nationwide on Feb. 27.
Alongside the 60-second ad’s release on Monday, the studio announced plans for an opening-night fan screening event on Feb. 26 beginning at 6 p.m. The event will include showings at participating IMAX locations, marking the first time the Scream franchise has launched in the premium large-format venue. Additional screenings will take place across Dolby Cinema, 4DX, ScreenX, MX4D and Cinemark XD theaters.
The Dimension and Spyglass Media film brings Neve Campbell back to the franchise as Sidney Prescott. In the new installment, a fresh Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney has built a new life, with the masked murderer setting their sights on her daughter, played by Isabel May.
The Super Bowl spot leans into the franchise’s signature menace, opening with the familiar taunting phone call. “Hello, Sidney,” the voice says. “I’m going to make everyone you love suffer — while you watch.”
Also starring are Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, Anna Camp, David Arquette, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, McKenna Grace, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Mark Consuelos and Tim Simons, with Matthew Lillard, Joel McHale and Courteney Cox also appearing.
Original Scream writer Kevin Williamson directs the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Guy Busick, based on a story by James Vanderbilt and Busick and characters created by Williamson.
